User experiences, preferences and choices relating to functional electrical stimulation and ankle foot orthoses for foot-drop after stroke

This study reports a series of structured interviews with users of the ODFS and compares their preference for using the ODFS or and AFO. nearly all participants preferred using the ODFS because better walking was produced, the ankle was freer and FES was more comfortable to use.
