Retrospective study of patients using Functional Electrical Stimulation for drop foot correction and increased hip stability

This study examined the effect of using FES for hip extension and drop foot correction.  It was found that the technique was clinically feasible, increasing walking speed when used.  Those with stroke showed a significant training effect.
