A randomized trial to investigate the effects of functional electrical stimulation and therapeutic exercise on walking performance for people with multiple sclerosis

This abstract summarises the randomised trial of the ODFS in people who had secondary progressive MS. The Study showed significant increases in walking speed and distance walked in 3 minutes when the device was used. The physiotherapy group received a training benefit.
