Non-repetitive Stimulation of the Common Peroneal Nerve

This paper describes the use of doublets - two stimulation pulses in rapid succession - to produce increased muscle force. This is used to modulate the contraction strength of the dorsiflexor muscles, reproducing the natural activity profile of the anterior tibialis muscle in gait.
