Impact on activities of daily living using a functional electrical stimulation device to improve dropped foot in people with multiple sclerosis, measured by the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (Journal abstract)

This randomised controlled trial with people with secondary progressive MS demonstrated that use of FES improved activities of daily living (as measured by the COPM) and gave a reduction in the number of falls.  No significant changes were seen in the control group who received physiotherapy.
