Dropped foot is the inability to lift the foot when walking due to either weakness or paralysis of the muscles involved in lifting the foot. As a result, the toes may catch the ground as the foot is swinging forward. This makes walking more difficult and increases the risk of a trip or a fall. Dropped Foot knows few boundaries and can affect both the young and the elderly population. The range of FES devices manufactured by OML has been successfully used by a wide range of patients from 4 years old right through to 96 years of age. |
